Properties: Light yellow powder with a pungent odor, soluble in water.
Main Uses: A widely used collector in sulfide ore flotation, ethyl sodium xanthate is the most selective variety in the xanthate series. It is extensively used in the flotation of easily floatable sulfides and complex sulfide ores. It can also be used as a precipitant in hydrometallurgy and as a vulcanization accelerator in rubber.
